Report of the 6th Indo-US Economic Summit: Synergizing Partnerships for Growth
16-17 February 2010 – Hotel The Lalit, New Delhi
 

The Indo American Chamber of Commerce organized its 6th Indo-US Economic Summit: Synergizing Partnerships for Growth on 16-17 February 2010 at Hotel The Lalit, New Delhi.

The Summit was supported by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. KPMG was the Knowledge Partner.

Mr. Dhanendra Kumar, Chairperson, Competition Commission of India, inaugurated the Summit. Mr. Steven J White, Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy; Mr. Mark E Kronenberg, Vice President, Boeing Defense, Space & Security and Mr. Aaron Schildhaus, Imm. Past Chair, American Bar Association, International Law delivered the Special Address.

Mr. Syed Baderuddin, President, IACC and Dr Vivek Lall, Regional President, IACC & Vice President & Country Head, Boeing Defense, Space & Security delivered the Welcome Address. Mr. Lalit Bhasin, Summit Chairman made a Theme Presentation and Mr. Gautam Mahajan, Executive Vice President, IACC proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Mr. Kapil Sibal, Hon’ble Minister for Human Resource Development was the Chief Guest on 17th February 2010 during the Session on Education.

The summit was addressed by 50 speakers and panelists representing policy makers, industry leaders & subject matter experts.

Over 200 participants attended the summit. The summit focused on the following:

  • Energy Security for India
  • Export of Services
  • Education
  • Knowledge Based Manufacturing
  • Bollywood to Hollywood

In addition, there was a Panel Discussion on Synergizing Indo-US / China Partnership for Growth which was very well attended.
