The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce organised its flagship event – the 4th Indo-US Economic Summit: Building Strong Partnerships from September 18-20, 2007 at New Delhi.
US-India Business Council (USIBC) was the co-organizer of the Summit. The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma, were the Partner Chambers in the US. PricewaterhouseCoopers was the Knowledge Partner.
Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, delivered the Inaugural Address. H E Dr David Mulford, US Ambassador to India, also addressed the Inaugural Session. Mr William Nobrega, President and CEO, Conrad Group, US, made a presentation “Why India will Outperform China; Democracy, Demographics & Determination”.
Mr. Deepak Pahwa, National President and Summit Chairman delivered the Welcome Address, Mr. Prem Behl, Summit Co-chairman delivered the Theme Presentation and Mr. Vinod Madhok, Regional President proposed the Vote of Thanks.
Over 500 participants attended the Inaugural Session on 18th September. During the next two days, i.e. on 19th and 20th, the discussion focused on the five sectors given below:
Farm to Retail
Medical & Healthcare Services
Education Management
Civil Aviation and Aerospace
Infrastructure – Roads, Ports & Real Estate
Manufacturing in India – Leading Opportunities

The Mayor of Tulsa, Ms Kathryn Taylor, participated in the Summit along with 20 business delegates. Besides, there were other participants from the US, who are members of USIBC.
